This policy explains what data the Push-Up Assistant app processes, why, and how. The operator is Šimon Kudela ("we").

1. Data we process

Data you provide

• Nickname — shown on the leaderboard and to friends. You may choose any nickname; it need not contain your real name.
• Sign in with Apple (optional) — we store the account identifier provided by Apple and the email address associated with it. If you use Apple's Hide My Email, we only ever see the relay address Apple generates. The email is used solely to identify your account; we never send marketing to it.
• Name from Apple — Apple provides your name only on the very first sign-in. When it does, we use it as your initial nickname, which means it is stored and visible to other users on the leaderboard. You can change it at any time in Profile → Edit.
• Suggestions you send (optional) — if you use Profile → Suggest an improvement, we store the text you write together with your account identifier, the app version, the platform and the app language. We only use it to improve the app; it is never shown to other users. Please do not include sensitive personal details in the message.

Data generated by use

• Workouts (fitness data) — repetition count, duration, challenge type (30 s / 60 s / free), and completion time. We do not read from or write to Apple Health, and we collect no other health or medical data.
• Friends and duels — friend code, account connections, and duel results.
• Live duels — during a live duel, only the current rep count is exchanged with your opponent in real time, so you can both see who is ahead. No video, audio or body data is involved. The score is not stored during the duel; only the final result is saved.
• Subscription status — whether Premium is active and until when.

Camera access

The app requires camera access to count push-ups. The image is analysed in real time on your device using the MediaPipe (BlazePose) library. Only the resulting repetition count is sent to our servers — never the image itself.

2. Why we process it

The legal basis is performance of a contract (providing the app's features) under Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell or share data with third parties for marketing. We use the following processors:

• Supabase — database and authentication (EU servers). Supabase policy
• RevenueCat — subscription management. RevenueCat policy
• Apple — payment processing and sign-in. Apple policy

Payment details (card numbers, etc.) never reach us — Apple handles the entire transaction.

4. Retention

We retain data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, all data is permanently removed from our databases immediately. History stored locally on your phone is removed by uninstalling the app.

One exception: suggestions you sent us are kept, but they are detached from your account when you delete it, so they can no longer be linked back to you. We keep them because they describe the app, not you. If you would like a suggestion removed entirely, contact us at the address below.

5. Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing of, and port your data, as well as to object to processing.

You can delete your account at any time in the app: Profile → Delete account. This removes all your data including workouts, friends, and duels. The action cannot be undone.

For anything else, contact us at the address below. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

6. Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

7. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced in the app. The last-updated date appears in the header.

Terms of Use

Push-Up Assistant is licensed to you under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA), which governs your use of the app.

Subscription terms

Push-Up Assistant offers an optional Premium subscription that unlocks timed challenges, unlimited duels, live duels, and full workout history. The following terms apply:

• Subscriptions are available on a monthly or yearly basis. The exact price is shown in the app before you confirm the purchase, in your local currency.
• Payment is charged to your Apple Account upon confirmation of purchase.
• The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device settings: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. The app also links to this screen from Profile.
• Cancelling stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the period you already paid for. Apple does not provide partial refunds for the unused portion of a term.

Acceptable use

Please use the app fairly. Do not attempt to manipulate leaderboard results, submit fabricated workout data, or interfere with other users' duels. We may remove entries or accounts that do so.

Health disclaimer

Push-Up Assistant is a fitness tracking tool, not a medical device, and does not provide medical advice. Repetition counting is performed automatically and may not always be accurate. Consult a physician before starting any new exercise programme, and stop exercising if you feel unwell.
